The same question dresses my lips every time I descend into the Valley of 1000 Hills: How did Indigo ever come to exist? Durban's best skatepark, and South Africa's hidden skate-Mecca, is an anachronism personified - a butter-smooth vert ramp and concrete pool dug out of gravel and arid rock in a rural village no different from the next. A tornado of rural skateboarders provide a little air-conditioning, and you're happy to have it, so long as a misfired board doesn't join you in the bowl mid-run. However Indigo got there, we're grateful to have it.
